We are beginning to harvest a field of newly planted alfalfa, oats, and orchard grass.
If you have not considered feeding early harvest oats before, take a look at some information online about oat hay for horses. It has excellent feed quality and a nutritional profile similar to Timothy grass. Oats does lack any calcium content, so our blend with alfalfa covers that nutritional need as well.
